With a name like Conservative and Unionist Blog you might be expecting something completely different from what you might find, however a read of the site’s “What is this about?” reveals something rather unexpected.

The dominant party of the 20th century in British politics was the Conservative and Unionist Party. In that time they managed to give us war in Ireland, the depression, appeasement, the three day week, the deepest and then the longest recession since records began, telling us “if it’s not hurting, it’s not working.”

Now, it seems, Britain might be about to make the mistake of trusting these people once again: the ultimate triumph of hope over experience.

Well, this site is dedicated to highlighting the sheer loopyness of the Conservative Party – as daily proved on various conservative blogs.

Enjoy the ride. Be but afraid. Be very afraid.
