Jeremy Clarkson Next up
For this joke The Mail and its cohorts are out for blood.
Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has prompted nearly 200 people to complain to the BBC about a joke he made on Sunday’s motoring show.
Clarkson, 48, was taking part in a lorry-driving task, when he suggested that lorry drivers kill sex workers.
“Change gear, change gear, check mirror, murder a prostitute, change gear, change gear, murder. That’s a lot of effort in a day,” he said. Source: The BBC.
What I’d like to know is why theyve not complained about the pig before? Seems like a typical comment you’d expect from Clarkson – I stopped watching Top Gear when he took over.
In a statement, the BBC said: “The vast majority of Top Gear viewers have clear expectations of Jeremy Clarkson’s long-established and frequently provocative on-screen persona”. Source: The BBC.
Yes I’ve clear expectations of the viewers too – unpleasant misogynists – that doesn’t mean the programming should meet their expectations.
Still why on earth has Radio One’s Chris Moyles, remained immune from the presses attention? There’s plenty of unsavoury quotes to be had there.
What is the world coming to when I’m in bed with the likes of The Daily Mail, The Sun and Daily Express? Well not quite, I’ve always found these characters unpalatable and would gladly see the back of them, where as they’d like to see the back of The BBC which I most certainly would not – for all its faults the BBC is worth its license money – I won’t be joining David Cameron.
