The Ballot Papers are in and Counting’s Started

So how did I vote in the end? As I said yesterday I’d decided to vote Green, in the end I voted Green in the Europeans and in the local election my wife, persuaded me to vote Labour – still that’s the first time in my life I’ve not voted Labour – I’d like to vote Labour, however I find it difficult to vote for a party that’s abandoned its socialist roots and when I look at the Greens policies I see much I like, it’s not perfect, for instance I’m no fan of banning Zoos.

  1. I decided to go for the Green vote this time around. The party isn’t powerful but I thought I’d put my ‘X’ where my mouth and heart is. I was in a meeting full of self-proclaimed professionals and intellectuals on voting day and only a handful knew who their MP was, let alone what type of voting day it was. Doorknobs! Voting if anything, give one the right to whinge if something isn’t going right in the world politically.
