You can't make energy out of nothing. These 'plates' use the kinetic or potential energy of the car to transform it into electrical energy. And taking energy out of a car in transit will cost more in fuel. Maybe only a tadge but energy will be lost. And if they're taking energy out of my car's transit then I want paying for it! Not content with plundering the earth's resources they're now setting their sites on the humble motorist. Pah! Snake oil alert!
