You can&#039;t make energy out of nothing. These &#039;plates&#039; use the kinetic or potential energy of the car to transform it into electrical energy. And taking energy out of a car in transit will cost more in fuel. Maybe only a tadge but energy will be lost.

And if they&#039;re taking energy out of my car&#039;s transit then I want paying for it! 

Not content with plundering the earth&#039;s resources they&#039;re now setting their sites on the humble motorist.
